The War Memorial Building stands tall in Jackson, Mississippi. The building serves as a monument to the many Mississippi men and women who sacrificed their lives defending the freedom of Americans. Jackson, Mississippi is proud of its southern roots and honors the memory of all those soldiers who were lost to the numerous battles fought through the centuries to keep America wonderful and free at this monument. The War Memorial Building, standing on North State Street, represents the kinship of all the Mississippian soldiers who were lost. The building features unique cast aluminum doors and features panels that recreate scenes from the famous Battle of Ackia in 1736 to the Vietnam War.
