Southern Star RV Park #1

Southern Star RV Park campground started in 2002. We started out with a twelve RV sites at 2260 Southern Star Circle in Chatham Mississippi.

Being a local business owner, we are constantly trying to promote Lake Washington the home of the 4 pound crappie to increase tourism and bring as many folks as we can to come and enjoy Lake Washington and all it has to offer.

Crappie in Lake Washington that weigh 3 pounds or more have declined over the past years but they are slowly making a comeback. The four- and five-pound crappies are still in the lake but they will make you work hard to get them in the boat because most of the time you hook them but they don’t stay hooked.
