North Abutment Campground
North Abutment Campground is one of the main campgrounds on Grenada Lake. It is located on the north end of Grenada Dam on Grenada Lake. The campground is an excellent destination for boating and fishing. The region is steeped in history, with an array of civil war landmarks. In summer, Grenada Lake is home to the annual Thunder on Water Safe Boating Festival. Featured events include concerts, a youth fishing rodeo, tractor pull and fireworks display. This modern campground is equipped with 88 RV site pads, each with a parking apron and 50 amp electric and water hookups and campsites #2-15 are equipped with sewer hookups — there are 5 shower houses throughout the campsite. Of the 88 campsites 56 are reservable and the remaining 32 are non-reservable. The lake is accessible via nearby boat ramps, found just outside of the campground. The campground also has an amphitheater in Phase 1. Campers will enjoy a private lake just for campers, a small beach, and easy access to a nearby boat ramp.
