McAlister’s Deli

Nearly three decades ago, a dentist from Oxford, Mississippi had a vision to turn an abandoned move-set diner into a small, yet charming, neighborhood restaurant and gathering place. The vision came true in 1989 and now there are 200 nationwide. Their famous items include sandwiches, spuds and salads, along with their sweet tea.
