Malmaison Wildlife Management Area
Malmaison WMA is a 9,483 acres span of forest located upon rolling hills on one end to a floodplain on the other. Roughly 800 acres lie in the fertile loess hills and the rest in the equally fertile Yalobusha/Mississippi River floodplain. The WMA offers a diverse tree population with everything from red and white oaks, to maple, cypress, and pecan. The Yalobusha River lazily meanders through Malmaison WMA. Birds of prey, waterfowl, and wading birds are seasonally abundant. The Malmaison WMA has offered superb fishing opportunities to sportsmen and women since 1978.
Hours: Malmaison Wildlife Management area is open until sundown.
