Chewalla Lake Recreation Area

This area is located in the Holly Springs Ranger District in northern Mississippi. Visitors enjoy swimming and relaxing on the sandy beach on the lake shore, as well as canoeing, kayaking, camping and fishing.
This area offers a beautiful and tranquil setting for enjoyment of the outdoors. Enjoy a 260 acre lake for fishing and swimming. Facilities include 36 campsites (9 with electrical hookups), 40 picnic units, boat ramp, dock, accessible fishing pier, swimming beach, children’s playground, pavilion, restrooms with flush toilets and showers, drinking water, one-mile walking trail and sewage dump station.
