Grenada Lake is a reservoir on the Yalobusha River Mississippi. If you’re in search of trophy-sized crappie look no further than Grenada Lake in Mississippi. While this 35,820-acre waterway can be great for largemouth bass, white bass, and catfish, it is best known for its outstanding crappie fishing. 3-pound crappie are not uncommon, and those pushing 4-pounds can be caught by the persistent angler!

The Barnett Reservoir is a reservoir of the Pearl River between Madison and Rankin counties in the U.S. state of Mississippi. The 33,000-acre lake serves as the state’s largest drinking water resource, and is managed by the Pearl River Valley Water Supply District. Barnett Reservoir offers some of the state’s best crappie fishing. Both white and black crappie can be caught anytime of the year.

Lake Washington is one of the largest natural lakes in Mississippi. Around 700 years old, it may also be one of the country’s oldest lakes. It’s well known for excellent crappie, catfish, and bluegill fishing as well as seasonal duck hunting. Boat ramps are located at Okey’s and Cypress Gardens on the south side of the lake. Also accessible from Roy’s Store and Southern Star RV Park.

Enid Lake, MS, on the Yocona River, is known for its crappie along with the family camping facilities. Located in the Hills Region of Mississippi on Interstate-55 just 56 miles south of Memphis, TN, the lake offers an accessible fishing pier below the dam and an equestrian trail.

Arkabutla Lake
